Twenty years of Pilates, four at a time
Sammy Carter has spent 20 years in the Pilates industry, and Ocean Pilates in Wannanup, south of Mandurah, is where all of it lands. Her studio at Cormorant Key is a traditional one, teaching classical and contemporary Pilates on the full apparatus: Reformers, a Cadillac, Tower, Fuse Ladder, Spine Corrector, Ladder Barrel and Wunda Chairs.
Classes run an hour and are capped at four people, with no lock-in contracts and no direct debits. New clients start with a posture assessment and a program built just for them, and lesson plans and video tutorials for home practice come free.
As Sammy puts it, this is "personalised equipment-based Pilates in a boutique studio environment". She knows the apparatus well enough to supply it too, through her sister venture Ocean Pilates Equipment. The promise on the door is simple: move better, feel stronger.
